Blake Roderick
Blake Roderick, executive director of the Pike and Scott County Farm Bureau, has informed the board of directors of his intent to retire May, 1, 2022.
“I have lots of outside activities outside that I want to do,” Roderick said. “Retiring in the spring seems like the best time.”
Roderick came to Pittsfield, Dec. 1, 1981 and in 1987 became the director of both the Pike and Scott Farm Bureaus. When the two merged in 2018, he continued in the same capacity.
The search for a new executive has already begun and the Pike-Scott Farm Bureau Board, headed by Cleve Curry, president, is conducting the process, assisted by the Illinois Farm Bureau.
