Two individuals were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injures after a two car accident Dec. 12 at 9:05 p.m. The accident occurred at U.S. 67 and the Alsey-Manchester Road.
According to Illinois State Police reports, a silver Ford passenger car, driven by Richard Burton, 40, Manchester, was east-bound on the Alsey-Manchester Road when he failed to yield to a 2009 gray Chevrolet SUV, driven by Meadow Hawkins,19, White Hall. Both Burton and Hawkins were transported by ambulance to a local hospital, while a passenger in the Burton vehicle, Sara Burton, 33, reported no injures.
Richard Burton was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
