Preparing for college and having the financial funds is easier to attain than most people think. When that time comes around for high school graduates to start thinking about their future there are many options out there for students and some great examples are scholarship and interest free loans available through Lewis and Clark Community College. Deadlines are coming up soon if a student is interested in applying. Below are just two great opportunities for Jersey County residents:
Whitlock Fund:
This is a scholarship for students attending Lewis and Clark Community College. Qualified applicants must have been a Jersey County resident at the time of birth, and also a graduate from Jersey Community or Southwestern High Schools. New applicants are accepted only for the fall semester. The deadline to submit your application for the spring semester is Dec. 15.
Catt Fund:
This is an interest free loan available to Jersey County residents at the time of graduation. In the past each qualified applicant has received up to $1,500 per semester. The deadline to submit your application for the spring semester is Dec. 31.
