The Jersey Community High School (JCHS) boys bowling team captured first place in the thirteenth annual Abe Lincoln Invitational bowling tournament held at King Pin Pin Lanes in Springfield, IL on Sunday, Dec. 5.
JCHS bowlers had a total pin count of 6,343 for their six games bowled. The team’s individual average was 211.43 per bowler.
Other high school teams that participated were from Salem, Collinsville, O’Fallon, Highland, Alton, Mascoutah, Taylorville, Edwardsville, and Triad.
JCHS boys individual team highlights:
Jacob Elliot hit scores of 203, 278, 200, 235, 233, and 230, for a total of 1,379 and an average of 229; Danny Towell hit scores of 245, 279, 209, 242, 180, and 179, for a total of 1,334 and an average of 222; Adam Kribs hit scores of 177, 182, 214, 245, 202, and 279, for a total of 1,300 and an average of 216; Tyler Ayers hit scores of 212, 190, 224, 266, 189, and 189, for a total of 1,270 and an average of 211.
JCHS girls individual team highlights:
Sammie Malley hit scores of 198, 204, 201, 177, 217, and 226, for a total of 2,261 and average of 203.
