Jerry Sievers performs a solo rendition of “Little Altar Boy” during the Calhoun Entertainment Company’s Christmas Concert held on Sunday, Dec. 12.
Beautiful voices and Christmas spirit danced in the air at the Presbyterian Hall in Hardin on Sunday, Dec. 12, during the Calhoun Entertainment Company’s (CEC) Christmas Concert.
A medley of classic holiday songs were performed by the group, beginning at 2 p.m. The setlist was composed of the following tunes: “Kling Glockchen,” “Ding Dong! Merrily on High,” “The Holly and the Ivy,” “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming,” Carol of the Bells,” “The First Noel,” Somewhere in Your Silent Night,” “White Christmas,” Ding-a Ding-a Ding,” “The Little Drummer Boy,” “Still, Still, Still,” “Little Altar Boy,” and “Sleigh Bells.”
Additionally, the group performed “Deck the Halls,” and “Silent Night,” as sing-alongs, in which the entire crowd of the well-attended event participated.
The attending CEC members were: Director, Jerry Sievers; Assistant Directors, Lindsey Watters, Cara Rojas; CEC Choir Members, Sarah Becker, Julia Eberlin, Sheri Elmore, Teresa Goetten, Mary Kay Hughart, Gena Ringhausen, Bonnie Sievers, Veronica Tepen; Alto, Joyce Fortchnieder, Emma Godar, Julie Godar, Yvonne Nolte, Tina Pluester, Suzanne Ringhausen, Cara Rojas, Alicia Ufer, Lindsey Watters; Tenor, Bill Cox, Paul Friedel; Bass, Craig Johnson, Cliff Nolte, Richard J. Ringhausen, Jerry Sievers; Accompaniments, Mary Jean Aderton, Sarah Kinder.
Thanks were extended to the Hardin Presbyterian Church for use of their hall; CEC Officers, President Craig Johnson, Vice President Cliff Nolte, Secretary Bonnie Sievers, Treasurer Connie Robeen, Librarian Debra Jordan; and Board of Directors, Veronica Tepen, Tina Pluester, and Mary Jean Aderton.
Refreshments of Christmas cookies were served following the program.
