The Jersey County Health Department (JCHD) released the county’s most recent COVID-19 statistics on Monday, Dec. 20. At the time of that report, there were 129 active cases, 3,853 recovered cases, 55 deaths, and 4,037 total positive cases since the start of the pandemic.
JCHD also released their updated COVID vaccine numbers, which convey that there have been 25,728 vaccine doses administered in Jersey County. Of the 21,847 county residents, 11,022 are fully vaccinated, representing 50.45 percent of the population.
There will be drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinics at JCHD next Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Pfizer vaccine will be available for those aged five and older, and the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be available to those aged 18 and older. Additionally, there will be Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson booster shots available.
No appointments are necessary, but anyone receiving a vaccine must have their consent form completed prior to their arrival. The forms can be found at jerseycountyhealth.org.
