West Central made 12 three-point baskets and beat Carrollton 55-9 in eighth grade boys’ basketball Dec. 20 at Winchester.
The Cougars (9-5) led 28-0 after one quarter and 47-4 at halftime.
Charlie Smith scored 18 points and made six three-point baskets to lead West Central. Ryker Ford scored 16, made two three-point baskets, and had 10 rebounds. Carson Clevenger scored 11 points and made three three-point baskets.
Chase Smith scored three points and had six blocked shots. Leighton Smith scored three points and made one three-point basket. Blake Thrasher scored two points.
Gabe Howard scored 14 points, and the Cougars beat Carrollton 33-8 in the seventh grade game.
West Central led 14-1 after one quarter and 21-1 at halftime.
Howard also had 15 rebounds for the Cougars (11-3). Cooper Eddinger scored eight points, and Oz Walker scored five. Anthony Hance scored four points, and Ben Bangert scored two.
