Tom Hough, Chairman and CEO, announced today that Steve Goetten has joined the Jerseyville Banking Center as Vice President, Commercial Banking.
Goetten returns to work in his hometown with 10 years of banking experience, spending his
first seven years at Jersey State Bank before moving to the First Mid Bank & Trust offices in Alton
and Edwardsville.
“Steve has excellent experience, and strong local roots,” Hough said. “We’re extremely pleased that he has chosen to continue his career with us.”
He grew up in Jerseyville, graduated from Jersey Community High School, and then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois College in Jacksonville.
“I’ve known Steve most of his life, and am really looking forward to finally getting to work with him,” said Alan Karcher, Regional President. “He is a great addition to our commercial banking and ag lending teams.”
“I like working with business owners and farmers to help them get done what they need done,” said Goetten. “Jerseyville Banking Center gives me the opportunity to do that.”
A native and lifetime resident of Jerseyville, Goetten is Chairman of the Board of the Jersey County Business Association; his wife is a teacher and coach at Jersey Community High School. They have three children.
Jerseyville Banking Center is a part of Carrollton Bank, an employee-owned bank
that’s been led by five generations of the same family for 145 years.
