The Christmas season was enjoyed by all. We now await the New Year.
Christmas was great for Elsie Kirn. On Friday, Bev came along with her kids and grandkids. On Christmas, the rest of the Franke kids were over, Greg, Chris, Tony, Jeff, Ted, and Bitzy along with some of their kids and their friends. She missed the grandkids who couldn’t be here.
Jim and Theresa Johnes entertained the Flanigan family on Sunday, Dec. 26, the day after Christmas. All had a wonderful time.
Lindy and Martha Bick had Christmas with Delmar and Barb Bick. Throughout the weekend Mark was home from Washington State, Ben and Amy and kids, Ian and Alice, from Cedar Rapids and Dave and Rachel, and kids Levi and Claire, and Katie Bick, and friend Mike and boys were there too. A nice time was had by all.
Dave and Rachel and family are leaving for a trip to Branson to add to the fun of the holiday season before the new year.
Our condolences to the family of Tim Lehr on the death of his wife Robin. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Irene Wallendorf had a good time with her children and grandchildren during Christmas Eve and Day. All enjoyed their time together.
Dave and Janet Droege had Christmas with their kids and grandkids. All had a wonderful time..
Roy and Helen Sievers celebrated Christmas at home with the kids and grandkids.
Verann Klockenkemper visited Ted and Elda Hayn and family for Christmas and had a wonderful dinner and good time together.
Bernie and Robin Hillen had Christmas at their home. Robin’s mother, Mary Ann Bailey, joined them along with their boys and wives and their families. Everyone enjoyed the day.
The St. Vincent DePaul Society helps with rent, utilities, mortgage, GED, and with other agencies. Call the volunteer hot line at 1-618-310-1141.
The St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry at 105 French St. is open on Wed. and Thurs. from 1a.m. to 11p.m. Come in to register and get food. You can call the food pantry at 1-618-5762500 if you want information, or have questions.
The Methodist Church in Batchtown has a Bible Class beginning at 10 a.m. for anyone wanting to participate come join the group.
