The William Rice Family helped light the star atop the Tree of Lights tree on Jersey State Banks lawn Tuesday, Dec. 28. The Salvation Army celebrated reaching the $40,000 goal for the Tree of Lights campaign.
Just in time for Christmas, the campaign reached $42,000 as of Dec. 24. This is attributed to the generosity of the individuals and businesses that fed the kettles and the organizations as well as the individuals that manned the kettles.
The Salvation Army extended their heartfelt gratitude to the community for assisting them in their mission to, ”DO THE MOST GOOD” for forty seven years in Jersey County.
For questions about the program, call Richard Lott at 498-3166, or 946-2702. Donations may still be mailed to PO Box 232 Jerseyville.
