Donna Triplett | 85 | Pittsfield

Donna Triplett, age 85, of Pittsfield, Illinois passed away on Dec. 31, 2021 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. She was born Aug. 1, 1936 in Hannibal, Missouri to Edwin and Wilma Ruble Moore. On June 6, 1956, she married Emmett Triplett and he preceded her in death.

In 1955, she graduated from Pittsfield High School and later from Flamingo Beauty College in 1971. She worked at Brown Shoe Company for ten years and later worked in several beauty shops. She went to Kepley House in 1988 and worked there until Dec. 31, 2003. Donna loved her job and the residents. Her love for them carried over into a Sunday School class called God’s Special Children and volunteering special events in her home for Pike County Work Activity.

Survivors are one daughter, Linda Kempf (husband, Jerry) of Mt. Sterling; one son, Roger (wife, Teresa) of Greenfield; and three grandchildren, Nikki Knipmyer of Pittsfield, Dan Knipmyer of Chicago, Anna Triplett of Greenfield; and one sister, Karen Woolfolk of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Mardell Harris and Coleen Kaylor.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Interment will follow at Pittsfield West Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to be made to God’s Special Children.
