Dalene was a 1948 graduate of Griggsville High School. She was a very active member of the Griggsville United Methodist Church until her health would not allow.  She retired from Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, Il.  She was an avid Cardinal fan, so much so that those who knew her knew not to call or visit during a game.  She was always doing something with her hands – quilting, cooking, working puzzles, sewing, and knitting to name a few.   Her quilts were always done by hand and beautiful.  Spending time with her family and friends was time she most cherished.

Funeral services were held 12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Il.  Burial was in Griggsville Cemetery.  Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the chapel.  Memorials may be made to Griggsville United Methodist Church c/o Airsman-Hires Chapel, Box 513 Pittsfield, Il. 62363.  Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Il. is in charge of arrangements.

The family would like to thank the staff at Griggsville Estates for their love and care of our mother during her five months stay.
