Candice Schaaf | 50 | Jerseyville

Candice Schaaf, 50, passed away on Dec. 29, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
She was born on March 23, 1971 in Jerseyville to Ernest “Barney” Schaaf and Joyce Ann (Scott) Piper.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Fieldon.
She is survived by her daughter: Shayla Evering (Ira Moore); her mother: Joyce Ann Piper; her grandmother: Mildred Scott; her sister: Leslea Stephens (Jason Scoggins); her nephews: Matthew Schaaf (Ashley Bass) and Garrett Ontis (Nealy Porter); her great niece and nephew: Alma and Gunner.
She is preceded in death by her father, special companion: Richard Evering, and grandparents: Bert and Alma Schaaf and Robert Scott. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 7, 2021 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2021 at 12 noon at Fieldon United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
