The Jersey County Health Department (JCHD) released the most recent COVID-19 numbers for the county on Dec. 31.
As of that date, there were 128 active cases of the virus, for a total of 4,306 cases since the pandemic began. There have been 57 total deaths and 4,121 recovered cases.
In Jersey County, there have been 26,333 COVID vaccine doses administered. Of the 21,847 county residents, 11,082 have been fully vaccinated, or 50.73 percent.
Additionally, JCHD announced that they will be holding drive-thru vaccine clinics every Tuesday in January from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a clinic this Saturday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The department will be administering the Pfizer vaccine for those aged five and older, and the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines to those aged 18 and older. There will also be Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson boosters available.
