Local author, Kendra Plunkett-Witt, recently celebrated her nine-year anniversary as a published author. Plunket -Witt grew up in Jerseyville and currently resides in Calhoun County. She is a full-time Mother and wife that “still finds joy in writing and sharing her stories.”
Over the past nine years, Plunkett-Witt has published the following books:
■ Fire: Hellions Chapter MC
■ The Devils Bastard MC: Destiny Dallas Callaghan
■ Houston Callaghan: The Devil’s Bastards MC
■ Moonshine Down
■ Illinois Ranger
■ Drawbacks
■ Mirror Lake Ranch: Once in a Memory
Plunkett-Witt has always had an interest in books stating, “I fell in love with reading at an early age, honing my story telling skills by re-hashing my Sunday coyote hunts with my Grandpa Guy to my parents with every boring detail.”
After nine years, Plunkett-Witt said, “I’ve come so far, but I also feel like I’m nowhere near where I want to be.’’
Despite having written numerous books, she said, “The best stories are still trapped in my head.”
Plunkett-Witt is hoping to release three books this year with one of them being a follow up to Illinois Ranger, partially based on Calhoun County. She advised that the best way to get ahold of one of her books is to order online through Amazon.com.
