The Pike County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the awards presented at its annual March meeting.
Each year, the Chamber celebrates the accomplishments from the previous year of businesses, volunteers, and community organizations by awarding three annual awards:
■ Business of the Year
■ Volunteer of the Year
■ Community Betterment Award
The Business of the Year award is presented to a business that contributes to the economic growth and quality of life in Pike County and whose practices and professional conduct contribute to a sense of cooperation within the entire business community. A nominee for the business of the year must be a business located in or operating in Pike County, IL that has demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics:
■ Exceptional performance & growth
■ Outstanding employment practices
■ Innovative products or services
■ Exemplary customer service
■ Response to adversity
■ Community involvement
■ Attracts tourists and visitors to Pike County
The Volunteer of the Year Award is designed to recognize a Pike County resident who volunteers their time to support Pike County and their community.
The Community Betterment Award is intended to recognize the contribution of an individual, or group of individuals whose vision and actions have bettered the city or village in which they live.
In order to nominate businesses, individuals, or community organizations for any of the Chamber’s annual awards, residents should download nomination forms from the Chamber’s website.

In order to be fully considered, nomination forms must be received by the Chamber of Commerce by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4.
