Committee adds gun raffle to Jody Coy benefit
The snow finally arrived and looks like many got out of the house to jump in it. I saw many kids and families enjoying the fun of sledding and making such fun memories. Such a beautiful picture with all the heavy snow blanketing our landscape. And some just want to know that spring begins in eight weeks!
Here’s an update for the Chief Jody Coy Benefit. There will be a gun raffle with two guns. First ticket drawn gets choice and second drawn gets the other. The guns will be a Smith & Wesson Saint 5.56 and a Kimber LW Night Patrol 45acp pistol. Maximum of 300 tickets sold and will be drawn for at 5 p.m. at the benefit. They will be $20 each or six for $100. I will update when we get them and where you can buy before the benefit. There will be a raffle for a whole hog processed. These will be sold at the benefit and possibly prior to the drawing. Tickets will be $10 each or six for $50. They are still collecting items for the silent auction too. You may contact Cory Winchell or Gunner Turner.
Our community has been hit so hard with sadness this past week and it is with deep sympathy to hear the passing of Mr. Harry Wagy, what a champ and all around guy. Also, Jolene Smith, such a sweet gal for sure and Raymond “Cutter” Collard, and Beth Baskett. Prayers for strength and peace for all.
Please let me know if you have any news or tidbits, be glad to share. Thank you all for your continued support. Let your week be prosperous and may you be blessed a plenty.
