Stephanie Stahlhut, Executive Director for Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation (IVEDC) has announced that its Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, will award scholarships of up to $1000 to five income eligible residents of Macoupin, Jersey, Greene, and Calhoun Counties.
The CSBG scholarships are open to income eligible residents, who desire to further their education at an Illinois accredited two year community college, or four year college or university. All applicants must be enrolled, or intend to enroll, as a full-time student taking 12 hours or more for the fall 2022 semester. This is a competitive scholarship and is not based solely on economic need.
