Together with their parents, Karley Jean Osment and Joshua Steven Carter are pleased to announce their engagement.
Karley’s parents are David and Debbie Rhodes, Scott and Kathy Osment, all of Pittsfield. Josh’s parents are Stacey Shaw of Griggsville and Shawn and Laura Carter of Washington, Mo.
Her grandparents are the late Don and Betty Hayden and the late Jack and Linda Osment. His grandparents are Diann Shaw of Griggsville,, Steve Carter of New Canton, and Kathy Carter of Pittsfield, the late Buckshot Garrett and the late Emmett Dean Carter.
The bride to be is a 2009 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Illinois Springfield. She is employed with the Department of Human Service through the State of Illinois.
The groom to be is a 2013 graduate of Pittsfield High School and is employed at Pike Feeds in Pittsfield.
In 2021 the bride and groom to be welcomed their first child, Berkley Rae Carter.
The Aug. 12 wedding and reception are being planned in Jacksonville at Hamiltons.
