Taylor Evangelin ‘Vangi’ Sanko | 28 | Jerseyville

Taylor Evangelin “Vangi” Sanko, 28, passed away April 8, 2022 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO .She was born in Fayetteville, NC and grew up in Key West, FL, Jerseyville, IL and Greenfield, IL.
She was a beautiful person that could light up any room. She touched, moved and inspired every human who got the privilege to know her. Vangi was a talented artist that loved the open blue water, sailing and hanging out at the beach.  She shared her life with James “Bubba” Moody, who was a Seaman Shrimper from Mayport, FL and who sadly passed away on March 26, 2022 and loved his daughter, Chevella Moody.
The loving daughter is survived by her mother, Barbara Eden-Summers of Asheville, NC; father, Stephen Sanko and Michelle Morgante of Deland, FL; a little brother that was the light of her life and that she absolutely adored, Rowdy Summers of Rockbridge, IL ; grandparents:  Larry and Linda Crane and Ted and Marilyn Sanko; grandmother, Sherrie Eden; aunt and uncle:  Robert “Peteo” and Mary Eden; an aunt:  Mary Sanko and uncles:  Brandon Henderson, Kim Henderson and Jason Sanko. Vangi is preceded in death by her boyfriend; grandfather, Willard “Bob” Eden; grandmother, Laurie Sanko; uncle, Tony Eden and aunt Trina Henderson. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 30, 2022 from 2 p.m. – ? at 3rd Chute in Alton, IL.  A funeral will be held at a later date in Key West, FL. Professional services entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL. Online guestbook and obituary available at
