West Central scored three runs in the first inning and beat Greenfield-Northwestern 7-4 in softball April 21 at Futures Field in Jacksonville.
Rylee Burk and Kylie Clayton each had two hits, but Routt beat the Cougars 14-9 April 18 at Futures Field. Clayton had a double, and Bryleigh Fox had a triple.
Burk scored the bottom of the ninth inning as the Cougars rallied to beat Triopia 9-8 April 14 at Futures Field.
Triopia led 6-2 and 7-5 before West Central scored one run in the sixth and one in the seventh to tie the game. Both team scored a run in the eighth inning.
Burk walked to lead off the ninth inning and stole second. Alli Peterson walked, and Maeliegh Alexander reached on an error to load the bases. Tystan White hit a ground ball on the infield, and Burk beat the throw to plate to score the winning run.
Burk picked up the win in relief of Fox, who started the game. Both pitchers combined to allow just four hits but walked 15 batters.
Zaylei Evans had two hits, including a double, for West Central. Brylee Fox had a double and drove in two runs. Fox drove in two runs.
Fox homered as West Central beat Beardstown 9-6, April 12, at Beardstown.
Fox went 2-for-4, and Alexander doubled.
Burk scattered nine hits and allowed four earned runs in seven innings to pick up the victory.
