Last week the Calhoun Warriors played two games against Greenfield/North Western and St. Louis HomeSchool Patriots, facing defeat in both.
The first game, last Wednesday, started strong for the Patriots, who scored two in the bottom of the first. The Patriots scored three in the bottom of the second, three in the bottom of the third, and seven more in the fourth. Despite the Warrior’s strong efforts, they failed to score in the following innings. The game ended 15-0.
Last Thursday, the Warrior’s played a home conference game against the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers.
The first inning was tight for both teams. The Tigers scored in the top of the inning with two runs, while the Warriors scored one in the bottom of the inning. Down by one in the top of the second, luck ran out for the Warriors, who allowed eight runs to score.
The score was now 10-1. Neither team scored in the following two innings, but the fifth inning saw the Tigers score the two final runs of the game. The Warriors lost 12-1.
The Warriors hold a 5-18 win-loss record and a 3-6 conference record.
