Could really use some new and interesting (and interesting is anything from anyone) news for you all for the column. You may think your news isn’t “newsworthy” but to readers out there, it might just be what they needed to read that day. If you have any events coming up, or you have been somewhere, or had some company (wanted or not…Lol), anything, please give me a call at either number at the top of this column. I sincerely hope to hear from you. Wyvetta
Trivia Questions for This Week:
1. On December 1, 1917, who opened Boys Town which is a farm village for wayward boys near Omaha, Nebraska?

Carl and Wanda Blacketer left April 16 to go to Tucson, Arizona, to visit their daughter Lawanda who makes her home there and is a school teacher. While there, they enjoyed seeing the Titan Missile Museum, Mount Lemmon, and Saguaro National Park which is where all kinds of cactus plants are protected. I asked Wanda what was the highest the temperature got while they were there, and she said 95 but that it didn’t feel that hot since there is no humidity there. Wanda and Carl arrived back in Pike County Saturday, April 23.
Mother’s Day afternoon several of us enjoyed getting together with Anita and Dan Mefford and had a delicious meal and lots of visiting. Those in attendance were: Kit Mefford and Jacqueline Davis; Carson and Mindy Mefford and Avery; Nathan Davis; Reese Davis and Wess Davis; Amy Davis and Raylan Smith; and Wyvetta Davis.
