Monday, May 30
• The American Legion Post #636 in Hardin will be holding their annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 9 a.m. in St. Norbert’s Cemetery. The small gathering will include the singing of the National Anthem by the Calhoun Entertainment Company and Poppies in honor of the post’s fallen comrades.
• Kampsville American Legion members and their family and supporters are invited to attend the Memorial Day Service at the Kampsville Town Park at 11 a.m., where lunch will be served at 12 p.m. Meat will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. A flag burning ceremony will be after lunch.
Friday, June 3
• Village of Kampsville Annual Yard Sale from 3 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, June 4
• Village of Kampsville Annual Yard Sale beginning at 7 a.m. There will be homemade donuts being sold in the morning from the Must B Smokn’ Somethin’ food trailer, and pulled pork sandwiches and nachos will be offered at lunchtime.
• “Art in the Park,” sponsored by the South County Library of Brussels will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hall Among those providing entertainment will be Emma Godar and Ellie Nolte. To date, artists displaying their work in the Brussels Village Hall will be: Phil Gress, Brenda Gress and John Webster. Vendors so far include: Nora Delaney, Debbie Eberlin Tepen, Lighthouse Nutrition, Lori Franke Hopkins. Local churches, such as St. Mary’s, will be quilting nearby in St. Mary’s Hall, and baby quilts from St. Matthew Church, which are also for sale, will be displayed in St. Mary’s Hall.

• Modern Woodmen Chapter 12243 dinner at IL. River Dock from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, June 14
• The Calhoun County Farm Bureau will be hosting a “Meet Your County Candidates” event beginning at 7 p.m. at the Calhoun High School Auditorium. Only the north doors will be open for entry. Candidate introductions will be followed by a Question and Answer Session.
Wednesday, June 15
• Modern Woodmen Chapter 18050 dinner at IL. River Dock from 4 to 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 18
• Modern Woodmen Chapter 1621 breakfast at IL. River Dock from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28
• The Tri-County Antique Club will be celebrating their 31st Anniversary by holding their annual fundraising event, the Olden Days, “Under the Windmill,” located at 23946 State Highway 3, Dow.
