After a two-year hiatus because of COVID, the Greene County Health Fair is making a comeback this year in a new format.
After what seems like a lifetime of being held in the spring at the Knights of Columbus Hall, this year’s Health Fair is being held at the Greene County Courthouse Lawn and is being called the Greene County Health and Jobs Fair.
It is being sponsored by the Greene County Health Department in cooperation with Boyd Healthcare Services and the Job Center and will be on Friday, June 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carrollton Square.
“This event aligns with the department’s mission to assure access to resources with a focus on prevention, health education, home health and resource support,” Greene County Public Health Administrator Molly Peters said. “In collaboration with our community partners, this year’s Health and Job’s Fair will offer health-related screenings, increase awareness of health resources available to area residents, promote safety, wellness, healthy lifestyles and promote jobs in the Greene County area.”
If the weather permits, the ARCH helicopter will land at noon and later that evening the Health Department will host a family moving night featuring Disney’s Encanto at 8 p.m.
Residents from all across West Central Illinois are welcome to attend.
Anyone who has any questions or wish to participate in the event as a vendor, please contact the Greene County Health Department at 217-942-6961, Ext. 124 or Ext. 105.
