Local children, Violet and Jack Gajewski, had a lemonade stand in Jerseyville last week and raised $200.67 for the Salvation Army. The siblings visited St. Louis the weekend before, with their mother, Beth Bear, and noticed some homeless people. They wanted to know how they could help people in such a situation. Bear suggested a fundraiser, and they figured out that the lemonade stand was a winner.
