The summer is here. It’s going to be a hot week. Plan on staying cool
The kids are playing in ball games. Jim and Theresa Johnes went to ball games to watch their grandchildren Conner and Colin play at Meppen, and Brussels ball parks.
Their parents are Jon and Melanie Tepen. They and other parents are spending time at the ballparks to cheer the team on.
The summer Jamboree is quickly approaching. Tickets for the Sunday, July 10, show are available by calling Sarah Kinder for tickets. A single ticket is $15 and a ticket for a couple is $25. Purchase your ticket by calling Sarah at 618-883-2089.
We wish Ellen Klocke a speedy recovery after a recent injury at home. Take care Ellen.
Jim and Theresa Johnes attended the wedding of Eric Schulte and Karle Sippely on Saturday, June 11, in Bowling Green, Mo. Eric is the son of Joe and Kathy Schulte of Meppen. The newlyweds are making their home in Alton. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Eric Schulte.
Bernie and Robin Hillen enjoyed having Leland, Roman, and Reign on Sat. this week. They had a fun day.
Father’s Day is this coming Sunday, June 19. Take time to make this a special day for your father, or grandfather
Congratulations Trenton and Lauren Bick on the arrival of their baby girl, Lynlee Grace, born on June 9. She weighed 7 lbs 5 ozs and is 18 inch long. She is the grandchild of Tim and Kelly Bick of Batchtown, and Mike and Debbie Turner of Jerseyville.
Katie Bick and friends from college enjoyed a camping trip at Meramec State Park recently.
St. Barbara’s Church members will meet Saturday, June 25, in the church basement to cook chickens for the picnic. If you can help it would be appreciated.
