Jersey Community Hospital (JCH) recently honored their volunteers with a luncheon at the United Methodist Church. The over 80 volunteers play an important daily role at JCH and their help is greatly appreciated by the entire organization. The JCH volunteers average 12,064 hours of work annually, which is a cost savings to JCH of approximately $99,000. They provide us with so much time and service we can’t thank them enough for all that they do. This is just a small way of saying thank you.
At the luncheon, awards for years of service were given out for 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 25 years and Ginger Gast was recognized for 60 years of volunteer service. She has been providing volunteer service to JCH since 1962.
Volunteers are always needed. Many jobs are available, the perfect fit can be found for everyone; administrative jobs, front desk helper and Gift Shop at the hospital as well as numerous jobs at the Hope Chest.
Anyone interested in volunteering may contact Margie Eyers, Director of Volunteers, at 618-498-8442.
