Jerseyville is holding its annual Independence Day fireworks display on Monday, July 4, starting at dusk.
The Jerseyville Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Hermens shared the department’s enthusiasm over facilitating the fireworks for another summer in Jerseyville.
“We are happy to play the role of organizer for the annual fireworks in Jerseyville. It is something that residents and visitors alike enjoy over July fourth weekend each year,” said Hermens.
According to Hermens, the event is only possible through teamwork across multiple entities.
“This event brings together multiple departments and organizations, and the city could not do it without everyone’s cooperation,” Hermens added. “We want to thank Jerseyville Police and Jerseyville Fire for their efforts in safety for the event and the Jerseyville American Legion for the use of the property each summer. “
This event is free to the public and parking is available at the Fairgrounds, 101 W. Fairgrounds Ave.
The department encourages visitors to make an evening of it, with dining detours, local bars, or sweet treats before the show.
