Well that storm wreaked a lot of problems for Kampsville last Friday morning as it tore through. Thank you to everyone who helped close an up and the Ameren and Rural Electric Linemen who worked hard to get everyone’s power restored.
A wonderful Father’s Day for Rod and Jeri Hart. They went to Fort Riley Kansas and welcomed home their son Nolan Hart from Kuwait. He had been gone for 224 days. Thank you so much Nolan for your service.
Reagan Clendenny competed this past week in the “Platinum Dance Competition Nationals” at Tybee Island, Georgia. Mom Lindsey and brothers Hayden and Ren accompanied her on the trip and enjoyed the beach.
Calhoun Warrior Football had a very successful camp this past week with 78 kids in attendance.
Happy 80th Birthday Violet Becker she was the guest of honor at a party thrown for her on Saturday.
Don’t forget the Calhoun Entertainment Company Jamboree July 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Anselm’s Hall.
That beautiful quilt being raffled off for the Kampsville Summer Celebration will be on display at the Pavilion beginning Saturday, July 2. Don’t miss an opportunity to get your chance. Drawing will be Aug. 20 at the Kampsville Celebration.
We are also putting baskets together to raffle that day if anyone would like to donate a basket.
Update on Miss Isabel McGlaughin: after two surgeries, 105 doses of chemo, 28 radiation treatments, 42 nights in the hospital, over 100 shots, countless labs drawn and multiple blood and platelet transfusions, Miss Isabel got to “Ring the Bell.” Such wonderful news.
Those prayers are working– keep them coming. Continued prayers also for Linda Herkert, Jerry Crader, Kathryn Chapman, Bob Banghart, Bruce Williams, Justin Williams, Amy Roth, Joyce Blumenberg, Darren Kress, Zel Blumenberg, Joe Gress, Raymond Sievers, Margaret Smith Pike, and Eileen Gardner.
