Hello from Alsey – Hot weather has found us. But there have been a lot of hot Julys in my lifetime – before air conditioners and even fans. Just take one day at a time and enjoy it.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our country in your prayers. Others on our prayer list include Chuck Roberts, Rod and Connie Sturgeon, Judy Cannon, Josh Cannon, Latin Ingram, Jessi Rueter-Brown and baby Gianna, Charlene Bigley, Michael Ryan, Judy Bigley, Delores Cannon, Karla Cannon, Edna Layne.
Happy Anniversary to Rod and Cory Wynn on July 24– Gene and Lori Howard on July 26.

Queen of Hearts drawing is held each Monday night at Grand Slam Bar and Grill (old Alsey School) at 7 p.m. Proceeds go to Mandy Bark and Whine Dog Rescue.
Queen of Hearts drawing, 129 Main St., Alsey each Thursday night at 7 p.m. The drawing is held at Rosa’s Cantina. Proceeds go to Scott County EMS.
Alsey Burgoo and Homecoming Picnic will be Aug. 6. Burgoo, fish, and chicken dinners will be served at the Alsey Park. See you there!
