Double the news this week

The Griggsville Church of the Nazarene will hold their Vacation Bible School July 26-29, from 6-7:30 p.m. Children ages Pre-K through Grade 6 are welcome! Family night will be held Friday evening.
Ashlyn Martin received some great news last week! After having a sudden spike in her cancer numbers recently, she was relieved to have a dramatic drop in the numbers last week! Ashlyn and her family appreciates all the prayers being sent up for her and asks that you continue to remember her in your prayers. She is slowly getting close to the right numbers for a stem cell transplant so prayers are certainly appreciated!
North Pike Fire Department in Perry had a great turnout for their annual ice cream social. If you didn’t get any of it, you missed out on some delicious ice cream!

The Dexter School potluck will be held at the shelter house in the Perry Park Wednesday, July 27 beginning at 6 p.m. Come enjoy the fellowship!
Please help us welcome GP’s new superintendent Mr. Jeff Abell Monday, July 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the music room at the Griggsville school building! Plan to have a cookie and introduce yourself so Mr. Abell can get to know GP families, students, and community members before the new school year begins. Hope to see you there!
Dewayne and Nadine Kessinger and Hudson Cooley enjoyed meeting up with Calvin and Marcia Forman, Chris, Gretchen and Elijah Forman, and Tony Gaff at Cracker Barrel in Lincoln, Friday to have lunch.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Tim Shoemaker who passed away Saturday at Blessing Hospital.
Cleve and Susanne Curry enjoyed visiting daughter Sarah Hancock and family July 4 weekend in Bedford, Ind. They enjoyed attending church where Kevin is new pastor, seeing the area, and enjoying a cookout at home of college friends, Rev. Garry and Carolyn Pate.
The ‘kids and grandkids’ of David and Crystal Syrcle have done a nice facelift on the Syrcle’s home on South Union!
Bryan Brown is recuperating at home after having undergone surgery for a broken leg. We wish you a speedy recovery, Bryan!
