Hello from Alsey– it has been a good weather week for the middle of July– I’ve enjoyed watching the hummingbirds.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our country in your prayers. Alsey Burgoo and Picnic Homecoming, Aug. 6. Burgoo, fish, chicken, potato salad, slaw, dessert, tea, and coffee are on the menu. Kettle service at 6:30 p.m., and parade at 10 a.m. Jacksonville Drumline will perform following the parade. Isaiah Christian Bank will be on the stage from 2 to 5 p.m. Hamburger stand will be serving– Little Miss and Mister, Junior Miss and Miss Alsey contests will be held. Come join the crowd and enjoy a great day!
Queen of Hearts drawing each Monday night at Grand Slam Bar and Grill (the Alsey School Building). Time for drawing is 7 p.m. Proceeds go to Mandy’s Bark and Whine Animal Rescue. See you there!
Queen of Hearts Drawing at Rose’s Cantina, 129 Main Street, Alsey is each Monday at 7 p.m. All proceeds go to Scott County EMS. Come support your local much needed EMS. See you there!
