For the first time, the Village of Kampsville will be placing a time capsule as part of the 2022 Kampsville Sesquicentennial Summer Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 20.

■ Historical Kampsville items
The Kampsville Summer Celebration Committee also shared the following list of possible interview questions that people can ask their family members, or friends, and include the answers in the capsule:
■ When and where were you born?
■ What are your parents’ names? Siblings?
■ Is your family from Kampsville?
■ Where did you go to school?
■ How is it different from today’s school?
■ Did you have chores?
■ What did you do for fun growing up?
■ Did you have electricity, phone, tv?
■ Were you in the military? Do you have any stories from your service?
■ Where did you work? How long? Who was your boss?
■ Where did you meet your spouse?
■ What were the holidays like in your home?
■ What are your favorite memories?
■ Do you have any stories from the floods?
■ How has Kampsville changed through the years?
■ Any stories you want to tell about the town, people, etc.?
All items must be Kampsville/Calhoun related and small in size. The committee also wishes to remind the community that all of the donated items for the capsule become the property of the Village of Kampsville. Any items that are not used will be returned to their owners.
Items can be dropped off at the Town Hall and there will also be an informational table set up at the Sesquicentennial event. Any questions can be directed to the 2022 Kampsville Sesquicentennial Summer Celebration Facebook page, or Marcia Agney.
