It just got a little brighter on the South end of Kampsville. The Kampsville Legion got a bright new sign. Keeping us updated with all the information we need about the Queen of Hearts and welcoming everyone to Kampsville. Our Queen hasn’t been found so get your tickets.
Sunday, Aug. 7, we will host a Breakfast Fundraiser at the Kampsville American Legion to raise money for the Kampsville Celebration. Brenda Johnson and helpers will be cooking up some delicious breakfast. You don’t want to miss out.
Anyone currently wanting to donate a Raffle Basket for the Celebration please let Marcia Agney or myself know. All donations are appreciated.
Make plans for Aug. 20 to spend the day with us in Kampsville. We are planning a great Celebration for everyone’s enjoyment. BBQ Cookoff , Parade participants are welcomed. We are still needing vendors and this is the last week to sign your kids up for the pageants. We are working on our Time Capsule to celebrate Kampsville’s 150 Birthday.
Michelle Berg spoke at the Calhoun Senior Center this past week. A very informative presentation about the McCully Heritage Project. We definitely have a hidden gem right here in Kampsville if you haven’t checked it out you definitely should.
St. John’s Lutheran hosted a very successful VBS last week. A good time of fellowship was had by all young and old. VBS is one of my favorite summer things.
Congratulations to Jodi Heidenreich on his retirement from Calhoun Unit 40. July 19 was his last day. Enjoy your retirement and some time with Valerie and those adorable grandkids.

I enjoyed a great week on vacation exploring New Orleans with my friends and co-worker Sheri Elmore and Karen Elmore . While there we took tours and enjoyed the history and Jazz of New Orleans.
Maybree Klaas, granddaughter of Eddy Jo and Deb Klunk, is enjoying a week of camp at St. Louis Zoo. What an amazing experience for her.
