A motorcycle accident in Jersey County, over the weekend, resulted in a fatality according to a release from the Illinois State Police (ISP).
The wreck occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, along Illinois Route 100, approximately one mile north of Mill Street in Elsah. Dustin Brown, a 26-year-old male from Lebanon, Ill., was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown was driving a 2012 black Yamaha motorcycle
The preliminary investigation, according to ISP, indicates that Brown was traveling south on Illinois 100 approximately one mile north of Mill Street. when his motorcycle left the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. Brown’s bike then crossed the road before coming to rest in the left ditch.
ISP, along with the Jersey County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.
