Ten seniors from Jersey Community High School received the James R. Fosha Memorial Scholarship on Monday, July 11.
Emma Williams, Collin Jones, Garret Smith, Anne Walker, Carlie Turner, Cody Croxford, Hope Brandt, Andrew Platto, Kyndal Price and Reagan Reynolds each received $800 towards furthering their education.
The scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors each year in honor of Fosha who attended JCHS and died in 1999. Since 1999 the Fosha family and lifelong friend John Baker have hosted an annual golf tournament and have raised over $200,000 for scholarships.
The Fosha Memorial Scholarship Committee hosted their 24th annual memorial tournament last week at Lockhaven Country Club and said it was a huge success.
“We want all to know that these scholarships would not be possible without the help from our golfers, sponsors, people who donate and especially our volunteers.”
