Fund-raising fish fry Thursday at PCSC
This Thursday evening, Aug.11, Pike County Senior Center, 4:30-6:30 p.m., is the monthly fish fry fundraiser. This includes fish, sides, dessert, and a drink. You can either dine in with others and visit, or you can ask for the meal as a carry out. All ages are welcome, and as always, everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend.
This Friday, Aug. 12, the southern gospel group Karen Peck And New River will be having a concert at the historical Golden Windmill in Golden starting at 7 p.m. A love offering will be collected. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.Prayer Requests: Upcoming elections, Miracles to all branches of government to turn back to God, Healing answers for cancer, and the coronavirus to totally stop. Grady Robbins, 5-year-old son of Garret Robbins of rural Barry and Heather Robbins of Canton, Mo., celebrated his birthday with an outside water park theme and a dinosaur birthday cake held at his grandparents’ farm Dale and Terri Robbins of rural Barry. Grady celebrated and made lots of memories on his 5th birthday with aunt MaKayla Robbins, uncle Brett and aunt Jessi Robbins, his close cousins, and several friends from Barry and Quincy.
A surprise birthday party, hosted by his family, was held for Jonathan Guthrie Sunday afternoon, Aug.7, with a nice group in attendance.
