Exercise classes at senior center still on-going

This week’s scripture has been put in this column several times, and who knows how many times more it will be put in. It is something everyone should put to memory. Here goes:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Events in Pike County:
Pike County Senior Center Monthly Fish Fry Fundraiser in Pittsfield — Thursday, Sept. 8, 4:30-6:30 p.m. — On the menu is fish with sides, dessert, and a drink.
Wanda Mountain Boys will be at the New Hartford Christian Church Sunday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m. — Everyone is welcome!!

Free exercise class at the Findley Place in Pittsfield every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Sharon Burgdorf and Wyvetta Davis ate supper at Milkey’s in Barry Wednesday, Aug. 21. Both enjoyed good food and a good visit.
Thursday evening, Aug. 22, Cary and Dan Dunham and Wyvetta Davis took Danny K. Guthrie out for an early birthday at the Gem City Pizzaria on State Street.
The Pittsfield High School Class of 1973 had their class luncheon in Atlas at Zeke’s in the main dining room with 16 classmates and one spouse present. Those who made it were: Cathy Bollegar; Steve Cox; Wyvetta Davis; Debbie Harshman; Jeanie Hartman; Janet and Greg McKee; Cheri Myers; Rodney Prentice; Marvin Reel; Theresa Reel; Fred Ruzich; Theresa Sidwell; Carla Terpstra; Dennis Wade; and Sharon and Gary Williams. We all enjoyed visiting with each other and sharing a meal.
Several in our area enjoyed participating and also watching those who participated at the Heartland Garden Tractor Pull at Pittsfield Lake Saturday, Aug. 27. What a great family event to get involved in!
In my car, I took my cousin Sharon Straus and friend Karen, both from Philadelphia, Mo. and Danny K. Guthrie of Nebo, all to Perry Pioneer Days to enjoy the band Stompin’ Ground Saturday night, Aug. 27. What a talented band!! It is so good to be able to get out and enjoy doing things like this once again.
Shirley Stinson and I enjoyed having lunch at Milkey’s Sunday, Aug. 28.
