The Calhoun Lady Warriors softball team will be playing in the State Championship Tournament in Normal this weekend after defeating Liberty last week in the Sectionals 5-3 in 7 innings. Their road to the State tournament began with their defeat of the St. John’s Lady Redbirds in the Regional Championship game 7-2 to advance to the Sectionals. They will take a 17-2 record into the first round of the State tournament where they will play Mazon-Verona-Kinsman who sport a 17-3 record.

The Calhoun Junior High (CJH) Lady Warriors softball team managed a 5-3 win over Liberty for the Sectional Title on Saturday, Sept. 17. The team will advance to the IESA State Tournament at Champion Fields in Normal on Friday, Sept. 23, at 9:30 a.m.
