Modern Woodmen Hometown Hero Dinner for Diane Brangenberg from 4 to 7 p.m. at IL. River Dock Restaurant. Chapter 12243.
Thursday, Sept. 29
Calhoun High School (CHS) National Honor Society (NHS) Chili Super, hosted by the CHS National Honor Society will be at 5:30 p.m. before the Homecoming Football Game at the Football Field
Friday, Sept. 30.
Junk in the trunk flea market from 4-7 p.m. at the Hardin Riverfront. $20 fee for a parking spot. There will be 1-2 tables per car. All fees go to support events on the riverfront.
Sunday, Oct. 2.
The annual Calhoun duck race activities will begin at 10:30 a.m. on water street in Hardin. Races start at 3 p.m. Vendors will be present during the event, selling food and other items to visitors. Proceeds from the event will go to St. Norbert School and tickets for the race can be purchased from any Nobert school family member.
Wednesday, Oct. 5
Modern Woodmen Chapter 18050 dinner at IL. River Dock Restaurant from 4 to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and Oct 9.
Kampsville old settlers days will take place from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. The annual festival features both Civil War and Mountain men displays. Several demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend including period displays of soap making, blacksmithing, woodworking, bow building and much more.
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15 and 16
The Free Trappers of Piasa Territory will be again hosting the Free Trappers Rendezvous in Hardin. The event will be open to the public and take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pre-1840 history will come to life at this annual rendezvous. There will be a candy cannon, annual raffle, traders selling time period items, demonstrations, and more.
Sunday, Oct. 16.
Fall Dinner & festival from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. at St. Norbert’s church in Hardin. Outdoor activities as well as lunch and dinner will all be available during the event to all attendees.
