Several veterans of both the military and Winchester Schools either rode or walked during the rain for the homecoming parade. Riding are, in front: Rick Crews, father of WHS graduate and a veteran; John Grey, WHS graduate, veteran and father of two WHS grads; Terry Aoessy, veteran with children and grandchildren who graduated from WHS; Karsyn Wardlow, a recent WHS grad who is planning to join the military. In back: Father, Larry Evans, WHS grad, veteran and former school board member; and Roger Pratt, veteran, father of two WHS grads and currently has two grandchildren at WGS.
Although the rain may have dampened the day, it did not dampen the spirit of the West Central Cougars volleyball team who were escorted through the homecoming parade on a Winchester fire engine.
