The Bluffs FFA Chapter has been busy, attending several events, two in June and one in September.
The Chapter had two members attend the Section 13 VoAg Fair on June 3. They traveled to Carrollton and showed at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Colton Coats kept his SAE on small animal care and showed his rabbits. Zack Evans keeps his SAE on swine production and showed his pigs. Evans won Reserve Champion with his January Gilt. He also won Grand Champion in Showmanship.
Also in June, the Bluffs FFA had eight members travel to Springfield to attend the State FFA Convention. The members attended multiple business sessions, elections, and toured the Abraham Lincoln Museum. The Bluffs FFA was recognized as a $4,000 club member in the Foundation Drive. The Alumni was recognized for 25 years of donating to the Foundation Drive.
Finally, the Bluffs FFA had 17 members attend Livestock Judging at John Wood Community College on Sept. 16. They traveled to Baylis, and spent the day judging cows, goats, sheep, and hogs. Varsity A placed 68th, Greenhand B placed 84th, Varsity B placed 87th, and Greenhand A placed 89th out of 93 teams.
