The Panthers fell to the Mascoutah Indians in last Friday’s away football game.
Mascoutah started the game with a strong offense in the first half, taking a 19-point lead over the Panthers, 25-6.
Jersey was able to get eight more points on the board in the second half of the game, but it wasn’t enough to cut into the Indian’s lead, finishing the game 49-14.
Chase Withrow led the Panthers with two touchdowns and 179 rushing yards.
The Panthers head to Waterloo this Friday to face off against the Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
The Lady Panthers celebrated a win during their senior night matchup against Hillsboro. Jersey went 9-0 for the night while honoring seniors Josie Hudson, Cate Breden and Kateryna Savienkova.
The cross county team finished second and fourth at the Alton Invitational last week. The girls secured second place and the boys placed fourth. Griffin Williams, Logan Wade, Chile Kallal, Abby Fraley and Taylor Woodring were each medalists at the meet.
The Lady Panthers took a win in volleyball Tuesday night against Civic Memorial. Civic Memorial took a 25-20 win in the first set, but fell to the Panthers 25-14 and 25-20 in the following sets. Kari Krueger led the Panthers with 11 kills, three blocks and seven digs, Adrian Blasa had 30 assists, 12 digs and 2 aces, Grace Shalley had 9 kills, three blocks and six digs, Ashlyn Brown had seven kills, four blocks and one dig and Lauren Lyons had three kills, one block and 13 digs.
