From the desk of Pastor David Slagle-217-473-1892.
The day started out cool, but warmed nicely through the day. Walkerville Baptist welcomed three of our favorite people. George and Sandy Campbell and Dee Cunningham. They are the singing trio, Servant’s Hearts, who present the good news of Jesus Christ in word and song. They shared their testimony of their faith being, “No matter what you are going through, God is always with you. God never leaves nor forsakes his children.”
We at Walkerville Baptist have seen many come to the Lord when they realized that there is only one way to Heaven and that way is accepting Jesus Christ as one’s personal savior. After the concert, we enjoyed food prepared by the folks here at Walkerville. Thanks to each one for your labor.
Wednesday evening Bible study has been moved to Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome and if you need a Bible we have one or you. Prayer needs are Vera and Bob; Ava and Dan; our farmers as they go about the harvest; our country; our leaders from the local, state, and federal level; our military and first responders; the families in Florida; all the pastors and churches that the true Word of God may be preached; and for the schools and teachers, teacher aides and bus drivers. If you have a question about how to be saved, please call me at my number at the top of this page. God bless.
