The Carrollton High School (CHS) FFA hosted a cookout for all the high school students on Friday, Sept. 23, during homecoming.
CHS advisor, Mr. Hartwick, wrote a grant through the Illinois Pork Producers Association that allowed the FFA program to purchase $250 worth of pork.
With the grant, it enabled the FFA to provide a meal, free of charge, for all students. Students and teachers not only enjoyed the food but also, corn hole games, and socializing with friends and fellow students.
This event was enjoyable for the students and something that they have continued to do from year to year to include FFA in homecoming week activities.
