Karley Jean Osment and Joshua Steven Carter were united in marriage Aug. 12, 2022. The ceremony and reception were held at Hamilton’s in Jacksonville.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie and David Rhodes and Scott and Kathy Osment, all of Pittsfield. her grandparents include Donald and Betty Hayden and Jack and Linda Osment, all deceased.
The bridegroom is the son of Shawn and Laurel Carter of Washington, Mo, and Stacey Shaw of Griggsville. He is the grandson of Kathy Carter, Dian Shaw, Steve “Shag” Shaw and the late Emmett Carter and the late John Garrett.
Sam Cookey was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kasey Osment, Rylee Shaw, Taylor Martin and Lacey Carter.
Dylan Baughman was the best man. Groomsmen were Tanner Moss, Isaac Shaw, Brenton Noble and Cody Maske.
Flower girls were Berkley Carter, daughter of the couple and Hudsyn, Kelly. Ring bearer was Maddox Cookey. Ushers were Hayden Osment and Troy Zenner. Blaklyn Benz was the guest book attendant and special helpers were Jane Walker, Teresa Shaw, Sandra Herring and Tracy Smith.
Troy Armstrong, D.J. Company supplied the entertainment and Armstrong was the officiant.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Pittsfield High School and received her bachelors of science degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice from the University of Illinois in Springfield. She is employed by the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.
The groom is a 2013 graduate of Pittsfield High School and is employed by Pike Feeds in Pittsfield.
After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, the couple reside in rural New Salem.
