Rainy cool Sunday morning drive to church, but feeling blessed by being able to worship where and when we desire to.
Next Sunday, Dec. 4, Walkerville Baptist Church will welcome Riven, a southern gospel trio from the St. Louis, Mo. They will present the Christmas story in word and song during our morning worship time of 10:30 a.m. All are invited to come and share in the blessing of this group. No admission charge. A freewill offering will be received and a luncheon will follow the concert.
This Sunday morning was Murlene’s last Sunday to play the piano for us. We thank you ever so much for blessing our Heavenly Father and our church family with your gift of music.
Our message this morning was from the Book of Acts Chapter 1:1-8. “The unfinished work of Jesus Christ.’’ We, as born again believers, must now carry the Gospel to all parts of the world. The apostles and believers in Acts were empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. We now have that same mission to carry out and we have the same power as the apostles in the Book of Acts for the Holy Spirit lives in each born again believer. The Holy Spirit is our power and guide and comforter.
Wednesday morning Bible study is at 9:30 a.m. and all are welcome.
Recent prayer requests are Ava and Dan, Vera and Debbie, unspoken prayer needs, Ray Wilson, Denny and Sherry. We praise our Heavenly Father for the good news from his doctor that the tests were good.
We invite you to join us each Sunday morning for our 10:30 a.m. worship service.
