The Epic Trekkers are preparing for a mission trip to a Christian school for the deaf in Jamaica and, as a way to work together prior to the trip, did some work for Got Faith Ministries in Jerseyville.
The Epic Trekkers group, which consists of members from different churches in the area, was started up by Kirby Ballard who is the head of Carrollton and Whitehall First Presbyterian Churches.
Attending the Jamaica trip is Ballard and his wife, Peggy; Madonna Foster, Randy and Marsha Marshall of Jerseyville; Sabrina Crabtree of White Hall; Racheal Deornellas; Janet Rosentrater; Sarah Moore; and Stephanie.
Volunteering at Got Faith was the Marshalls, Crabtree, Rosentrater, and Deornellas. They assisted with the clean out of the Santa Room which will become a green room at the Got Faith building.
“This project is a way for us to come together and work together to get to know each other better,” said Marsha Marshall. “Most of us already know each other, but it’s a good way to practice working together.”
Got Faith founder, Steve Pegram, said Got Faith was grateful for the Epic Trekker’s work.
