Sign up for corn hole league before Feb. 6; leagues start Feb. 10
Well, some dear folks celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this last Friday, Gordon and Kay Sansom! What an amazing accomplishment this is, to endure so many blessed years together, one for the books for sure! May you have many more!
The Nebo Community Club will be having a quarter auction March 18 and are needing vendors, no entry fee but asking to donate couple items for the event. If interested in setting up or wanting more information you can contact Melanie Guthrie at (217)491-5641 or message the Nebo Community Club Facebook page.
Pleasant Hill Community Club scholarship committee will be hosting their third annual winter cornhole league starting Feb. 10. Entry fee is $100 per team and this will be 6 week tournament each Friday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. The last week will be the final bracket winners. They are limiting the number of teams to 14 and teams must be signed up by Feb. 6. Please contact any member to get your team signed up.
These two former Pleasant Hill gals, Leah (Guthrie) Wilke and Robin (Graham) Brummell have big plans for Sugar & Smoke Barbeque opening this spring at former Pittsfield Vet Clinic. Also Layla Bug Boutique will move into this building. So proud of these hometown girls!
A reminder for all the seniors and first year college students, this is a good time to be thinking about getting scholarship information for colleges from your advisor. Many have to be completed by early spring.
